✨ About the Project
Sugar Cane is a poignant, character-driven short film exploring grief, identity, and cultural collision. Set in the American South, the story centers on a grieving African-American teen grappling with the presence of her father’s new Trinidadian wife. Through layered storytelling, Sugar Cane delves into what it means to belong in a family when the definition of “home” is shifting.
This is a passion project—a great opportunity for emerging and seasoned actors alike looking to stretch their emotional range in meaningful roles.
