Created by Emmy-winning writer Lena Waithe, The Chi offers a powerful look into life on Chicago’s South Side, following a group of interconnected residents navigating everyday challenges, relationships, and community life.

Season 8, which began filming on January 14, 2026, will mark the final chapter of the acclaimed series.
