A new background casting opportunity is now open for the Netflix series “Free Bert” in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Casting is seeking local background talent for upscale dive bar scenes, including bartenders, waitresses, and patrons with unique, memorable looks.
This opportunity is open to Atlanta-area local hires only. Talent must be able to work in Atlanta or surrounding areas without travel, transportation, or accommodation support.

Applicants may live out of state, but they must be within a reasonable self-drive distance to Atlanta and surrounding rural areas. Talent must not require a flight or travel reimbursement.

Pay Rate
💰 Fitting Rate, if required: $37.50 for up to 2 hours
Overtime applies after 2 hours.
💰 Filming Rate: $150 for up to 12 hours
This is a guaranteed rate. Talent will still be paid the full rate if they work less than 12 hours, but applicants should be prepared for 12-hour filming days. Overtime applies after 12 hours.
Roles Being Cast
Upscale Dive Bar Bartender
Casting is looking for a male, all ethnicities, age range 50–65.
The ideal talent should have an interesting look and strong character presence. This role is for someone who feels like he has been working in an old-school upscale establishment for 30 years. He should have personality, class, and the kind of face that suggests many stories to tell.
Bartending experience is helpful, but not required if the look is right.
Upscale Dive Bar Waitress
Casting is looking for a female, all ethnicities, age range 50–65.
The ideal talent should have an interesting, character-driven look while still carrying a sense of class. This role should feel like someone who has been part of an old-school upscale bar for decades. Casting is seeking someone with personality, presence, and a memorable “David Lynch type” quality.
Waitress experience is helpful, but not required if the look is right.
Upscale Dive Bar Patrons
Casting is seeking men and women, all ethnicities, age range 40–70.
This group should represent a vibrant and eclectic mix of upscale dive bar personalities, including:
