NBC’s hit police procedural drama Chicago P.D. is currently in production in the Chicagoland area and is looking for local background actors for upcoming scenes.
The production is seeking people who live in or near Chicago, Illinois, as travel expenses are not being covered. Applicants must be able to work locally and should only submit if they are available to film in the area.
The casting team has also shared an update for Episode 14001, which has added an additional filming date on Tuesday, August 4. Those who have already submitted or are interested in being considered can update their availability using the provided form.

Featured Background Role: Double Dutch
The casting team is also looking for African American girls, approximately 12–14 years old, who know how to play Double Dutch.
This will be a night scene, filming after sunset. The filming date is still to be determined but will take place sometime between Tuesday, August 4 and Thursday, August 13.

The production is asking for simple, current cell phone photos that clearly show the child’s present look and hairstyle. Edited photos and professional headshots should not be submitted.
The video should demonstrate the child’s Double Dutch ability, including swinging the jump ropes.
Minor Work Permit Requirement
A valid minor work permit is required for children to be considered for featured or director-selected roles. If a child does not currently have a permit, parents or guardians may contact the casting email for information about obtaining one.
The minor work permit is valid for one year from the date of issue and can cover the filming season. The casting team cannot consider children for this role unless the permit is already confirmed or in progress and will be ready before the filming date.
