Dancers in the Detroit area have an exciting opportunity to audition for cruise ship entertainment with Norwegian Cruise Line.
The company is holding an open dancer call in Detroit, Michigan, seeking performers for mainstage productions onboard the Norwegian Getaway, including the high-energy production “Bring Back the 90s.”
This open call is for strong, athletic dancers who are ready to perform in large-scale cruise line shows while traveling through the Caribbean.

About the Production
Norwegian Cruise Line is casting dancers for mainstage entertainment onboard the Norwegian Getaway.
One of the featured productions, “Bring Back the 90s,” celebrates the music, fashion, pop culture, and unforgettable moments of the 1990s. The show combines energetic choreography, powerhouse vocals, and multimedia design to create an immersive theatrical experience for cruise audiences.
Who Should Audition?
The casting team is looking for versatile dancers with strong technique, stage presence, and the ability to move confidently across multiple styles.
Dancers should have training or strong ability in:
- 💃 Commercial jazz
- 🩰 Ballet
- 🎭 Contemporary
- 🎧 Hip-hop
- 👞 Tap, which is a plus
- 🤸 Tumbling or acro, also a plus
Performers must be comfortable engaging with an audience and telling a story through movement. Partnering skills are required, including the ability to lift or be lifted.
Singing is not required.
Dancer Requirements
Norwegian Cruise Line is seeking:
- 🌟 Female-identifying dancers, height range 5’2” to 5’9”
- 🌟 Male-identifying dancers, height range 5’8” to 6’3”
- 🌎 Dancers of all ethnicities
- ✅ Applicants must be 18 years or older
Dancers who attend this audition may also be considered for future opportunities with Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Dancers should arrive prepared to learn multiple dance combinations.
Please bring:
- 📄 A hard copy of your current headshot and resume
- 👠 Female-identifying dancers: dance heels and dance flats
- 👟 Male-identifying dancers: sneakers or trainers and a flat jazz shoe
Contract Details
Selected dancers will perform onboard the Norwegian Getaway with an itinerary in the Caribbean.
Current contract details include:
- 🗓️ Rehearsals begin: November 9, 2026
- 🚢 Board the Norwegian Getaway: on or about December 9, 2026
- 📆 Contract length: approximately 6–8 months onboard
- 🌴 Itinerary: Caribbean
- 💰 Pay: $800 per week onboard
- 🎬 Rehearsal pay: $560 per week
All dates are subject to change.
Cast members will also participate in or cover other entertainment offerings onboard, such as parties and pop-up events. Dancers will be provided with a single occupancy cabin onboard.
Cast members will be considered crew members, but there are no cruise staff duties outside of the performance schedule.
