Aurora Arts Theatre Announces Auditions for Disney’s Frozen

Aurora Arts Theatre has announced auditions for its winter musical production of Disney’s Frozen. Performers of all experience levels are invited to audition for this magical stage adaptation filled with music, adventure, family, and heart.

Set in the beautiful mountain kingdom of Arendelle, Frozen follows sisters Anna and Elsa as they navigate love, fear, magic, and the powerful bond between family. When Elsa’s hidden powers are revealed during her coronation, she flees into the mountains, accidentally plunging Arendelle into an endless winter. Determined to bring her sister home, Anna begins a brave journey with the help of Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf.

The production is presented by Aurora Arts Theatre, with special thanks to presenting sponsors Callie & Rajan Ahuja.

Aurora Arts Theatre is casting a wide range of roles, including principal characters, young performers, featured roles, and ensemble members.

❄️ Elsa
Female, vocal range E3–E♭5. The future Queen of Arendelle and Anna’s older sister. Elsa was born with magical powers and isolates herself out of fear.

🌻 Anna
Female, vocal range G3–E5. The optimistic younger princess of Arendelle who longs for love, connection, and adventure.

🧊 Kristoff
Male, vocal range A2–B♭4. A hardworking ice harvester with a guarded personality and a kind heart.

👑 Hans
Male, vocal range A2–A4. A charming and ambitious prince from the Southern Isles.

☃️ Olaf
Any gender. Alto key E3–E♭5 or tenor key B2–B♭4. A magical snowman with innocence, humor, and joy.

Open to any gender. Ensemble roles include townspeople, staff, guards, Hidden Folk, Oaken’s family and friends, volunteers, bishop, handmaiden, lackeys, and Hidden Folk child.

What to Expect at Auditions

Musical auditions at Aurora Arts Theatre usually include three parts in one evening.

🎶 Choreography
Auditionees will learn choreography taught by choreographer Sarah Juarez. Comfortable movement clothing is recommended.

🎤 Vocals
Participants will sing a section guided by music director Holly Braly. The process will be explained during the audition, so no advance preparation is needed.

📖 Sides
Auditionees will read selected scenes with fellow performers. All materials will be provided by the director on the audition night.

This is a wonderful opportunity for actors, singers, dancers, and community performers to be part of a beloved musical story. Whether you see yourself as Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, or a member of Arendelle’s ensemble, your story could begin at Aurora Arts Theatre.
