Wicked Musical Casting Singers in Chicago for Broadway and National Tour

Wicked is holding an open casting call in Chicago for singers interested in joining the Broadway and National Touring Companies of the blockbuster musical.

The production is seeking talented performers for both principal and ensemble roles, giving Equity and non-Equity singers an opportunity to audition for one of Broadway’s longest-running productions.

Auditions will take place on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Ballet Chicago in downtown Chicago. Performers do not need to be union members to attend the open call.

Who They Are Looking For

Casting is seeking singers who can move well and demonstrate strong vocal ability and range.

Auditionees are specifically asked not to arrive before 10:30 a.m.

Potential callbacks are expected to take place on October 6, 2026.

What to Prepare

Performers attending the audition should prepare 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song that demonstrates their vocal range. The initial performance should be sung a cappella.

Sopranos may instead prepare 16 bars from a traditional legit musical theatre song that shows their range.

Auditionees should also bring:

📄 A resume stapled to the photo
