New Orleans Open Call for Dancers, Vocalists and Singer/Dancers

Performers in the New Orleans area have a new opportunity to audition for professional entertainment jobs at sea. An open casting call for dancers, vocalists, and singer/dancers will be held in Metairie, Louisiana, on November 1, 2026.

The auditions will take place at MOVE Studio 3508, and no pre-registration is required. Performers will be seen in the order they arrive, so applicants should plan accordingly.

These auditions are specifically for performance opportunities at sea.

Vocalists

Casting directors are seeking tenor/baritenor vocalists in their 20s–30s, approximately 5’8”–6’2”, of all ethnicities.

Applicants should be versatile performers with strong pop/rock, R&B, and Motown instincts. Strong movement ability is also required. Performance references include artists such as Bruno Mars, Elton John, Maroon 5, Rascal Flatts, and Stevie Wonder.

Performers should prepare two songs from the provided audition selections and bring a current headshot and resume. Selected singers may also be asked to stay for a dance portion, so form-fitting dancewear is recommended.

Casting is also seeking mezzo/belter vocalists in their 20s–30s, approximately 5’3”–5’9”, of all ethnicities.

Applicants should have a powerful contemporary sound, strong stage presence, and the ability to perform pop, rock, and contemporary musical theatre material. A strong belt up to F5 is preferred. Performers should also be comfortable moving well onstage.

Production Dancers

The team is seeking:

💃 Female-identifying dancers: 5’3”–5’9”
🕺 Male-identifying dancers: 5’9”–6’2”
🌎 All ethnicities welcome

Dancers should be athletic, technically strong, and versatile across several styles. Training in commercial jazz, ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop is highly preferred, while tap experience is considered a plus.

Female-identifying performers should be prepared to dance in both heels and flats. All dancers should be ready to learn multiple combinations during the audition.

Singer/Dancers

Singer/dancers should be exceptional dancers who are also comfortable singing harmonies, featured material, and solo sections.

Casting is seeking female-identifying performers between 5’3”–5’9” and male-identifying performers between 5’9”–6’2”, generally in their 20s–30s and of all ethnicities.

Candidates must first successfully complete the Production Dancer audition. Those who advance may receive self-tape callback instructions and vocal materials from the casting team.
