Black Flame Entertainment is casting actors for its upcoming independent supernatural horror film, Amongst the Dead and Me, scheduled to begin filming in September 2027 in Omaha, Nebraska, and Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The production is seeking male and female performers for six paid, non-union roles. Actors of all ethnicities are welcome to apply.
About the Horror Film “Amongst the Dead and Me”
Inspired by German folklore, Amongst the Dead and Me explores the terrifying legend of the Alp, a supernatural nightmare spirit associated with sleep paralysis, fear, and nocturnal attacks.
The story follows Jeannie LaVey, an alternative hairstylist whose life begins unraveling after experiencing increasingly disturbing night terrors.
As her condition worsens, Jeannie attempts to regain control through self-medication and eventually seeks professional help from Dr. Alexis Monroe.
However, what initially appears to be a psychological struggle soon reveals something far more sinister.
With an ancient evil feeding on her fear, Jeannie and those closest to her must confront a nightmare that threatens their lives.
