ABC’s “RJ Decker” Casting Featured Extras

ABC is moving forward with the pilot for its upcoming crime drama “RJ Decker,” based on the novel by bestselling author Carl Hiaasen. If picked up beyond the pilot, the project is expected to become a one-hour television series.

The pilot is currently filming in Wilmington, North Carolina and surrounding areas, and casting directors are seeking local background actors for several featured and specialty roles in newly rescheduled scenes.

Selected extras must be available for early call times and long filming days of up to 12+ hours.

📖 About “RJ Decker”

According to ABC, the story follows:

RJ Decker, a disgraced newspaper photographer and former ex-con, who reinvents himself as a private investigator in the colorful yet crime-filled world of South Florida. Alongside his journalist ex, her police detective wife, and a mysterious benefactor from his past, RJ takes on cases that range from quirky to bizarre — all while trying to stay out of trouble himself.

Expect crime, dark humor, and unpredictable twists.

💵 Pay Rate

💲 $96 guaranteed for 8 hours
⏱ Time and a half for every hour after 8 hours
🎁 Some director-selected roles include a $50 bonus

📅 Filming Dates

Rescheduled scenes will film between:
