Acting Auditions in Indiana: Derby Dinner Playhouse Open Calls for 2026

Derby Dinner Playhouse is holding local adult open auditions in Indiana for its 2026–27 season. The new season lineup will be announced on February 16, so keep an eye out for updates.

These auditions are designed especially for new-to-Derby performers, those who haven’t worked with the Playhouse, or actors who haven’t returned in a while. Walk-ins are not accepted, and you must reserve a slot in advance.

🎭 New performers who have never worked with Derby Dinner Playhouse
🔄 Actors who haven’t worked with them in some time
📌 Those open to targeted invited callbacks for specific shows (as needed)

What to Prepare (In-Person Audition)

Please prepare about 90 seconds (1.5 minutes) total:

🎤 Singing, or
🎬 A monologue, or
🎭 A bit of both

Additional notes:

🎼 If singing, bring sheet music clearly marked with start/end points (no backing tracks)
🎹 The mainstage musical director Scott Bradley will accompany live
📸 Bring a headshot + resume

Dance Call (By Invitation)

💃 Saturday, March 7 at 4:00 PM (brief dance call)
✅ Invited only—you’ll be notified after your audition if you’re called
👍 You can still audition even if you can’t attend the dance call
