Audition Notice: Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre Company Presents The Comedy of Errors

Calling all performers! The Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre Company is now holding auditions for its upcoming fall production of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, to be performed under the stars at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden.

Directed by the imaginative and acclaimed Emmie D’Amico, this hilarious classic of mistaken identity gets a bold, modern twist — mixing Shakespearean wit with drag, clowning, and physical theater.

🎭 Who They’re Looking For

We’re seeking:

  • 🌀 Physically dynamic performers
  • 🎙️ Actors with strong command of heightened (Shakespearean) text
  • 🤝 Collaborative team players open to ensemble-based work

All roles are open. Experience with physical theater, clowning, drag, or immersive performance is a plus, but not required!

💵 Pay: $100 per performance
