If you’re an actor based in Alberta (or able to work in Edmonton), here’s a chilling indie opportunity. “What’s Eating Mascot Girl?” is a fast-paced horror short set inside a minor league hockey arena—tight corridors, locked doors, and a ticking clock.
The story follows Alyssa Miller, a young woman whose job is to suit up as the Brookstone Caribou’s mascot. She’s exhausted, undervalued, and never even addressed by name—only “Mascot Girl.” But things go from bad to terrifying when she’s bitten by a zombie and must escape the arena before the hockey players arrive… or risk infecting them all.
