Calling all bold, comedic performers! The Artist Collective Troupe is holding auditions for The Trail to Oregon! — an outrageously R-rated, satirical musical by Starkid Productions. Based on the classic Oregon Trail video game, this over-the-top musical follows a chaotic American family navigating the absurd perils of the Wild West: bandits, dysentery, and lots of catchy songs.

Directed by Eric Pertgen, with music direction by Chelsea Carlson and stage management by Chris Morano, the show promises gut-busting humor, historical parody, and musical brilliance.

🎵 What to Prepare:

Two contrasting songs (max 1 min each)

👥 Who Can Audition?

Performers aged 18+ (or 17+ with parental consent)
Must be comfortable with R-rated humor and mature themes
No participation fees
Cast must assist with fundraising and sign a media release

Father (High Tenor): Over-enthusiastic and delightfully chaotic
Mother (Mezzo): Protective, stressed, the backbone of the family
Son (Soprano): Played by a female-presenting actor, quirky & imaginative
Daughter (Soprano/Tenor): Bold teen, kidnapped in Act II
Grandpa / Cletus Jones (Baritone): Crude, funny, and wild
McDoon (Tenor): Romantic, villainous Bandit King
Ensemble: Variety of quirky characters—townsfolk, doctors, animals, etc.
