Peacock’s newest crime thriller, M.I.A., is now filming in South Florida, and casting directors are currently seeking Miami locals to appear as paid extras throughout July and August 2025.
Created by Ozark co-creator Bill Dubuque, this female-led crime drama will explore Miami’s criminal underworld through the eyes of Etta “Tiger” Jonze — a woman who rises from tragedy to power.

M.I.A. tells the story of Etta “Tiger” Jonze, the sole survivor of her drug-running family after they are brutally murdered. Set across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties, Etta begins a gritty transformation from grieving daughter to ruthless Queenpin of the South Florida underworld.
The title M.I.A. references not just Miami International Airport, but also Etta’s symbolic descent into the shadows — going “missing in action” from her former life.
📺 The series joins other Miami-set crime hits like Hotel Cocaine, Griselda, Narcos, and Dexter — promising a bold, intense viewing experience.
