Casting in North Carolina: Mixed-Ethnicity Leads for Vertical Short-Form Series

A new indie vertical short-form series is casting in Maiden, North Carolina (northwest of Charlotte) and seeking young mixed-ethnicity lead actors to play the teen children of parents already cast. The project is a modern, emotional love story about two generations facing the same prejudice.

Story:
Two former lovers were forced apart as teens because of their parents’ racism. Years later, they reconnect—only to discover their own teenage children have fallen in love and are now hiding their relationship from the very parents who once did the same.

  • Type: High schooler, “dad’s girl”
  • Personality: Tomboy-leaning but clearly feminine, strong, grounded, relatable.

👑 SAM (Lead)

  • Plays: 10–13
  • Ethnicity: Mixed Black/White
  • Role: Deon’s younger sister
  • Personality: Confident, playful, sharp, “queen of the coop,” very observant.
