Grant Wilfley Casting, Inc. is now hiring Indian American performers for background roles in the upcoming Netflix limited series Unaccustomed Earth. Filming will take place in New York City from September 2025 through January 2026.
This is a paid opportunity for both SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent to be part of a high-profile adaptation of Jhumpa Lahiri’s critically acclaimed short story collection.

Unaccustomed Earth is an eight-episode drama set in an upper-middle-class Indian American community in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It explores family secrets, cultural tensions, and the emotional consequences of rekindled romance.
