Non-Union Actors Wanted for Outdoor Shakespeare Double Bill in Rhode Island

Calling all local actors! The Colonial Theatre in Westerly, Rhode Island, is seeking talented non-Union performers to bring two exciting Shakespeare-inspired productions to life this summer.

If you have strong comedic timing, comfort with Shakespearean text, and a flair for outdoor performance, this is a fantastic paid opportunity to be part of a creative, fast-paced project!

🎬 About the Productions

Shakespeare Shorts
✨ A 30-minute collage of scenes, sonnets, songs, and monologues from the works of William Shakespeare. Final selections will be chosen during rehearsals.

Shakespeare’s Dead Dames
🖤 Set in a surreal green room beyond time, six of Shakespeare’s most iconic tragic heroines — Tamora, Joan of Arc, Juliet, Lady Macbeth, Ophelia, and Cleopatra — grapple with their fates in this one-act farce.
💥 A blend of Shakespearean text with a modern, sitcom-style energy inspired by Chamber Music and The Women.
