Open Auditions for DMV Performers for “(pray)” Musical

Baltimore Center Stage has announced an open casting call for local Baltimore and DMV performers for its upcoming production, “(pray)” — a kinetic and vibrant choreopoem inspired by the energy, rhythm, and emotional release of a Sunday Baptist church service.

This powerful theatrical work celebrates and confronts the complexity of spiritual inheritance, using movement, voice, breath, and bold presence. Artists are encouraged to bring their whole selves — body, voice, and spirit — to the audition room.

About the Production

“(pray)” channels the vitality of communal worship and sacred expression, transforming it into a dynamic theatrical experience. Through choreography, spoken word, and music, the piece explores faith, identity, and the legacy of spirituality across generations.
