The Beverly Theatre Guild is holding auditions for Shrek: The Musical in Chicago, Illinois. This production will bring the hilarious fairy-tale chaos of Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, and a whole kingdom of misfits to the stage—and they’re looking for performers ready to sing and dance.

⚙️ Tech Week: Sunday April 19 – Thursday April 23

Note: They cannot cast anyone with conflicts during tech week or performance dates.

What to Prepare

🎤 Prepare 16–32 bars of a song from Shrek: The Musical (or similar style)
🎹 An accompanist will be provided
🎼 Bring sheet music (or recorded accompaniment if available)
💃 This is a singing + dancing audition
- Wear comfortable dance clothing
- 👞 Bring tap shoes if you have them

Audition Format + Arrival Notes

👥 8 people per 15-minute slot
🎶 You’ll sing individually, then learn a short dance combo as a group
⏰ Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete paperwork
📅 Bring a list/calendar of conflicts (no tech/performance conflicts allowed)
