The 2026 Bell Witch Fall Festival is returning to Adams, Tennessee, with two exciting theatrical productions: Smoke: A Ballad of the Night Riders and Spirit: The Authentic Story of the Bell Witch.
Both productions aim to present their stories as historically accurate as possible, while welcoming performers of all ages, genders, and races to audition. All roles are paid, and Equity roles are available.

All performances will take place in Adams, Tennessee, the historic home of the Bell Witch legend.

Audition Details
Performers interested in joining either production are invited to attend in-person auditions in Nashville.

Audition sign-ups will be handled onsite on a first-come, first-served basis. When actors arrive, they will receive a QR code to scan with a mobile device in order to complete the audition form.
Virtual Auditions
Actors who are unable to attend in person may request virtual audition information by emailing:

What to Bring
Actors attending auditions should bring the following materials:

Audition Requirements
In-person auditions do not require a prepared monologue. Actors will be asked to read sides from the script provided at the audition.
For performers auditioning for Smoke: A Ballad of the Night Riders, there is an additional music requirement:

🎵 Bring a backing track or sheet music for the accompanist
