Online Auditions Open for The Prince of Egypt at Lincoln Center in NYC

About The Prince of Egypt

The Prince of Egypt is based on the 1998 DreamWorks animated film and tells the powerful story of Moses, his discovery of his Hebrew heritage, and his complicated relationship with Ramses, the brother with whom he was raised in the Egyptian royal family.

The musical features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, the award-winning composer known for Wicked, Godspell, and Pippin. The stage adaptation expands on the original film with additional music and a deeper exploration of family, identity, faith, leadership, and destiny.

The show has previously been developed for the stage in both the United States and the United Kingdom. It had its world premiere at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley in 2017 before later productions in Denmark and London’s West End.
