Pay

💰 Performance Pay: $60 per show

🎭 Understudy Stipend: $200
Understudies are also guaranteed one performance at $60.

Audition Format

Auditions consist of cold readings from the script.

The creative team wants to see how performers interact with other actors, respond in the moment, take risks, and contribute to the overall chemistry of the ensemble.

Character Breakdown

All characters are British, with flexible playing ages ranging from the mid-20s through late-40s. Performers of any ethnicity may be considered.

SYLVIA – Female, 30s
A romantic, impulsive woman whose decision to reveal her affair sets the entire evening’s chaos in motion.

BEAU – Male, 30s–40s
Sylvia’s lover and her husband’s brother. Handsome, vain, traditionally British, and increasingly forced to confront a changing world.

MARJORIE – Female, 30s–40s
Beau’s wife, eight months pregnant. Practical, sharp-tongued, judgmental, and surprisingly calm as the chaos unfolds.

CLARKE – Male, 30s–40s
Sylvia’s husband and Beau’s brother. Charming and sophisticated, with a kind heart that sometimes makes him appear foolish.

DIERDRE – Female, 20s–30s
Beau’s other mistress. Pretty, optimistic, romantic, and completely committed to the ridiculous things she believes.

RICHARD – Male, 30s–40s
Dierdre’s ex-husband. Mysterious and potentially dangerous, yet oddly gentle. Requires strong stage presence and excellent deadpan delivery.
