NBC’s hit series “Chicago P.D.” is now filming new episodes for its 2026/2027 season, and the casting team is currently collecting submissions for Asian and Pacific Islander background talent in the Chicagoland area.

This is a great opportunity for local residents who want to appear in a major network television production. No speaking role is listed for this casting notice, and selected talent will work as paid background extras for an upcoming episode.

About “Chicago P.D.”

“Chicago P.D.” is part of NBC’s popular One Chicago franchise and is known for its intense crime drama storylines, action-filled scenes, and gritty portrayal of law enforcement in Chicago.

Casting Call Details

The casting team is currently seeking submissions for Episode 14006 of Chicago P.D.

They are specifically looking for:

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • ✅ Live within 2 hours of the Chicagoland area
  • ✅ Have graduated from high school
  • ✅ Not be attending classes at the time of submission
  • ✅ Have flexible availability for upcoming filming dates
  • ✅ Be available for full filming days with no time conflicts

If roles for minors become available, the casting team will post those opportunities separately.

Pay Rate

General background roles pay $136.40 for up to 8 hours.

This is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours, not an hourly rate. Overtime is paid at time and a half after 8 hours.

If production books your vehicle to be parked on set, an additional $35 vehicle bump will be added to your pay.

Filming Availability

Applicants should list all available dates between Thursday, September 17 and Monday, September 28.

Filming takes place on weekdays only, Monday through Friday. Call times are usually early in the morning, and filming days may last 8 to 12 hours.

Applicants should not submit for a date if they have any time restrictions. If you do not want to be considered for a night shoot, make sure to clearly mention that in your submission.
