Paid Background Actors Wanted for RJ Decker Season 2

ABC’s “RJ Decker” is returning for Season 2, and casting directors are currently seeking South Florida locals for a wide range of paid background roles.

The series is based on the novel by author Carl Hiaasen and follows RJ Decker, a former newspaper photographer whose career collapsed after a scandal. After serving time behind bars, Decker attempts to rebuild his life in South Florida by reinventing himself as a private investigator.

His unusual cases lead him through some of Florida’s strangest situations, with help from his sharp-witted ex-girlfriend, her police detective wife, and a mysterious benefactor from his past.

Casting TaylorMade is handling background casting for the upcoming filming dates across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Casting is also seeking people who can provide their own vehicles.

Vehicle Casting

🚗 Selected high-end vehicles may receive a $50 car bump.

Regular present-day vehicles and vehicles suitable for 2016 flashback scenes may receive a $30 bump, depending on production needs.

Filming Locations and Availability

Most filming will take place in Broward County, particularly around:

Fort Lauderdale
Dania Beach
Hollywood

However, filming scheduled for Monday, September 28 will take place in Miami-Dade County.

Call times vary depending on the filming date and scene. The posted times are only estimates and should not be considered confirmed call times.

Performers must have complete availability for their selected filming date and should be prepared for a workday of up to 12 hours.

Final call times, parking instructions, and reporting details will typically be sent to booked performers the day before filming.
