Chicago Med Episode 12009 Casting Call – Paid Background Actors Wanted

NBC’s popular medical drama Chicago Med is accepting general background actor submissions for Episode 12009. The production is seeking adults ages 18 and older of all genders and ethnicities who live within approximately two hours of Chicago, Illinois.

Filming is scheduled on various dates between October 16 and October 29, 2026, with paid background opportunities offering $136.40 for eight hours, plus overtime.

Part of Dick Wolf’s successful One Chicago television franchise, Chicago Med follows the doctors, nurses, and medical professionals working at the fictional Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.

Chicago Med Casting Requirements

The casting team is welcoming general submissions from individuals who meet the following criteria:

📍 Location: Chicago, IL, and surrounding areas within a two-hour travel distance
📅 Filming: October 16–29, 2026, including Sunday, October 25
💰 Pay: $136.40/8 hours
🚗 Vehicle Bump: Additional $35 if booked with a vehicle to be parked on set

Applicants must have graduated from high school and must not be attending classes at the time of submission. Casting opportunities for minors will be announced separately.

Pay Rates and Filming Schedule

The $136.40 rate is a guaranteed flat payment for up to eight hours, not an hourly rate. Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half after eight hours.

Filming days typically last 10–12 hours, and call times are generally early in the morning.

Applicants must have full-day availability for any dates they submit. Those with scheduling restrictions should not list those dates as available.
