Horror fans, get ready! A24 and Peacock are bringing back the eerie legacy of Friday the 13th with Crystal Lake, a chilling new streaming prequel series. Set in the 1970s and filmed on location in New Jersey and New York, this production is now casting paid background actors with a vintage look to help recreate the haunting origins of one of horror’s most iconic franchises. 🏕️🩸

📺 About the Series:

From the creators behind A24, Crystal Lake will explore the untold backstory of Pamela Voorhees and her infamous son, Jason, the masked figure who terrified generations. The original 1980 cult classic was filmed in real New Jersey towns like Blairstown and Hope, and now, production returns to these historic horror roots.

This new series is being filmed for Peacock and is expected to shoot June through October 2025.

💰 Pay Rates:

SAG-AFTRA: $216 for 8 hours
Non-Union: $181.50 for 10 hours
