Audition Notice: Quack Quack Philly! A Sensory Theatre Musical

A new sensory theatre musical, Quack Quack Philly!, is now accepting performer submissions for its upcoming fall/winter run.

Quack Quack Philly! A Sensory Theatre Musical follows Bell, a cheerful duck who lives along Philadelphia’s Schuylkill River with her family. When a powerful storm causes the river to flood, Bell is swept far from home and must find her way back across the city.

Her journey takes her through some of Philadelphia’s most recognizable places and forms of transportation, including a SEPTA bus, the Broad Street Line, and even an unexpected airplane ride above the city. Along the way, Bell meets new friends and discovers the many sounds, textures, smells, and surprises that make Philadelphia special.

This heartwarming production combines music, movement, imagination, puppetry, and sensory storytelling. The audience is also part of the adventure, with each audience member receiving a bag of objects used throughout the show to help bring Bell’s journey to life and guide her safely home.

Casting Details

The production is seeking 4 performers to originate and help create the roles.

📌 Format: Two-person show with two casts who will understudy each other

All roles are open to actors of all genders, races, and abilities.

The creative team is looking for energetic performers who are excited to help devise a sensory musical and bring an interactive, family-friendly story to life.

Submission Requirements

Performers should submit three to four videos:

✅ A singing video
✅ A movement video
✅ A short acting video or monologue, around 60 seconds
✅ Optional: A “wild card” video

If you play any musical instruments, you are encouraged to include that in your submission as well.

This contract covers the fall/winter run of the show. Additional winter performances are scheduled for January 9 and February 15 at the Please Touch Museum.

There will also be a separate spring run of the show in schools from April to May, under a new contract.
