About the Series

Originally released in 2021, A Week Away is a Netflix musical film following troubled teenager Will Hawkins. Instead of facing juvenile detention, Will chooses to attend a Christian summer camp, where he unexpectedly finds friendship, faith, and romance with a camp regular named Avery. The new TV adaptation, produced by Angel Studios, is set to premiere on Netflix in Fall 2025.

Casting Details

Production is now underway in Nashville, TN (Antioch), and On Location is seeking paid background actors to join the cast. No prior acting experience is required!

Project Information:

Title: New TV Series – A Week Away (Based on the Netflix Film)
Filming Location: Nashville, TN (Antioch) – Local hires only (No travel/accommodation provided)
Filming Dates: April 7, 2025 – May 17, 2025 (Monday-Friday)
Union Status: Non-Union

Roles Available:

Who: Male & Female, all ethnicities, ages 18-22 (must appear younger, high school-aged)
Requirements:
- Energetic and adventurous individuals comfortable portraying summer camp activities
- No visible tattoos, gauges, or facial piercings (except ears)
- No facial hair (or must be willing to shave)
- Must be local to Nashville, TN (Antioch)

Compensation:

Pay Rate:
- $72 for up to 8 hours ($9/hr)
- Overtime available after 8 hours
- Approx. $126 for a full 12-hour day

Availability Requirements:

Core Campers: Available throughout the entire shoot (April 7 – May 17)
Partial Availability: Available 1-2 days per week (with notice)
Limited Availability: Available one or two specific days during the shoot (TBD)
