Darkroom509 is an independent film group producing a three-part anthology featuring distinct genres and voices, each led by one of the collective’s founders. Set in a world haunted by genetic ruin, the story explores human survival, community, and transformation.
- Genre: Sci-fi / Thriller / Drama
- Production Type: Non-union, unpaid
- Compensation: Meals 🍽️, lodging 🛏️, and demo reel footage 🎞️
- Filming Dates: 5 weekends between Aug 22–Sept 27, 2025
- Location: Central Washington
🗓️ Auditions
- Dates: July 14–Aug 1 (weekday evenings only, no Fridays)
- Format: Virtual
- Eligibility: 18+, open to all ethnicities and backgrounds
🎭 Roles Available
- Aslan (Lead, Female, 20–27)
🌿 Fierce yet compassionate warrior. Indigenous actors strongly encouraged. (10 shoot days) - Erikson (Male, 20–27)
🛡️ Stoic soldier with emotional depth. (7 shoot days) - Sam (Male, 18–23)
💬 Naïve, seeking acceptance. (6 shoot days) - Elders (3 Male Roles, 40–60)
👑 Authority figures with moral complexity. (3 days each) - Albus (Male, 40–50)
🎯 Aslan’s deceased father. Seen in flashbacks and photos. (2 days)
⚠️ Some roles include stunts, weapon handling, and emotionally intense scenes.
