“Chicago Fire” New Season Casting Call for Stand-In Extras in Chicago

NBC’s hit drama series “Chicago Fire” is officially back in production for its new season, and casting directors are now looking for local Chicago-area talent to work as paid stand-in extras.

The production is seeking people who are local to Chicago, the suburbs, and surrounding border states near Illinois. Please only apply if you are truly local and have full availability for the listed work dates.

Produced by Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf, the creator behind the popular “Law & Order” franchise, “Chicago Fire” follows the intense lives of the firefighters, paramedics, and rescue workers of the fictional Firehouse 51. The series has become a major part of NBC’s Chicago universe, alongside “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Med.”

For the new season, the team is searching for stand-ins who can potentially commit from mid-July 2026 through early April 2027, Monday through Friday, with some possible night shoots and occasional Saturdays.
