A DePaul student short film project titled “Why Gamble on Love?” is now casting Asian actors in the Los Angeles area. This satirical short follows an Asian woman pressured to marry who visits a high-end matchmaking agency—only to discover it’s a one-stop assimilation service grooming “perfect” Asian wives for white men.
