Indianapolis Colts Drumline “The Herd” Opens 2026 Auditions

The Indianapolis Colts have officially opened auditions for The Herd, the team’s high-energy drumline, ahead of the 2026/2027 NFL season.

Known for powerful rhythms, choreographed routines, and electrifying gameday performances, The Herd will return to Lucas Oil Stadium to help energize Colts Nation throughout the upcoming season. The team is now seeking passionate and skilled percussionists who are ready to perform in front of tens of thousands of fans.

Founded in 2024, The Herd has quickly become a standout part of the Colts gameday experience. As the official drumline of the Indianapolis Colts, the group performs both on the field and in the stands, bringing bold beats and unmatched energy to every home game.

With performances in front of more than 63,000 fans, The Herd plays a key role in creating the loud, proud, and exciting atmosphere that Colts fans know and love.

The Colts are working with House of Wolves Entertainment to help develop and recruit members for The Herd for the 2026 season.

Who Can Apply?

The audition is open to talented percussionists who meet the following requirements:

✅ Must be at least 18 years old
✅ Must have received, or will receive, a high school diploma or equivalent by June 1, 2026
✅ Must have reliable transportation to and from Indianapolis
✅ Must be available on most Sundays from August 2026 through January 2027
✅ Must complete the online application and submit a video audition

This is an exciting opportunity for percussionists who want to combine musical skill, showmanship, and NFL gameday energy.

Important Audition Dates

Deadline to submit applications and video auditions.

📌 Before July 1
Finalists will be selected and invited to live auditions. Finalists are expected to learn the full Herd cadence for their desired position on the line.
