LA Actors Wanted for Upcoming Independent SAG Feature Film

A new SAG feature film is now casting actors in the Los Angeles area for several paid roles. The project is looking for local talent who are available to work in Los Angeles during the scheduled filming dates.

Filming is set to take place from September 11, 2026, through September 20, 2026, in Los Angeles, California. Talent must be available during the full date range in order to apply, although not every role will work every day.

This is a SAG-AFTRA ULB project with a rate of $256.60 per day. Both union and non-union actors are welcome to submit. Applicants must be willing to work as local hires.

Project Storyline

The film follows a man who discovers that his childhood best friend is getting married — but he was not invited to the wedding. Determined to reconnect and fulfill a promise he made as a child, he takes a road trip up the Pacific Coast Highway with the only other person he knows who will be there: his former childhood bully.

The story blends emotional self-discovery, unresolved friendship, memory, and personal longing. The tone is described as Into the Wild meets Moonlight, suggesting a character-driven journey with deep emotional stakes and intimate storytelling.

🎬 Hunter – 27, Male, Any Race/Ethnicity
Hunter is an aspiring filmmaker living in Los Angeles, ten years after leaving Portland. He has built a tightly controlled life filled with routines, boundaries, and emotional distance. Beneath that control, however, he feels empty and disconnected. When he sees a chance to reconnect with an old best friend, he takes it, hoping to recover a bond he has buried for years and rediscover the love and connection missing from his life.

🎬 Paul – 27, Male, Any Race/Ethnicity
Paul is Michael’s best man and Hunter’s childhood nemesis. Loud, chaotic, and hard to ignore, Paul becomes Hunter’s unexpected way into the wedding. Although he may seem difficult at first, there is more beneath the surface. Paul is someone who has never stopped fighting to stay connected to the people and places that shaped him.

🎬 Aimee – 27, Female, Any Race/Ethnicity
Aimee is marrying Trisha after four and a half years together. She hosts the engagement party in Hunter’s apartment and is described as warm, grateful, and glowing.

Trisha is Aimee’s fiancée. She is steady, devoted, and confident in what she wants.
