NBC’s “Chicago Fire” Seeking Hospital Types and Bystanders in Chicago

NBC’s “Chicago Fire” is back in production in the Chicagoland area, and casting directors are currently seeking local talent for paid background roles.

The long-running NBC drama, which first premiered in 2012, continues to film throughout Chicago and surrounding areas. For an upcoming shoot, the production is looking for men and women to portray bystanders, hospital visitors, doctors, nurses, and medical technicians.

These are non-speaking background roles, and applicants do not need actual medical experience to be considered for the hospital scenes.

Chicago Fire Extras Casting Details

Casting is looking for performers who are local to Chicago, the surrounding suburbs, or nearby states bordering Illinois.

Payment is issued through payroll, with checks typically sent approximately two weeks after filming.

Available Background Roles

The production will be filming both exterior and interior scenes.

Bystanders may be seen walking or standing on sidewalks during an outdoor Chicago scene.

The hospital sequence will feature background performers portraying:

Applicants do not need to be real healthcare professionals.

Clothing Sizes Required

Casting requires complete wardrobe measurements before performers can be selected.

For men, applicants should include their height, weight, T-shirt size, suit jacket size, neck, sleeve, waist, inseam, and shoe size.

Women should provide height, weight, T-shirt size, dress size, pants size, and shoe size.
