Netflix’s upcoming feature film “Women Like Us” is looking for Hamptons-area locals to work as paid background actors during filming in New York.

Waldron Casting is currently seeking non-union performers to portray artsy and bohemian types for exterior scenes filming in Sagaponack and Oyster Bay, NY. Casting is especially interested in people with interesting, creative, stylish, and unique looks who could potentially be considered for featured background work.

About “Women Like Us”

The Netflix comedy features an ensemble cast that includes Whoopi Goldberg, Jenifer Lewis, Vanessa Williams, and Vivica A. Fox, with Tasha Smith directing.

The story centers on a recently widowed woman whose sister and longtime friends take her to the Hamptons on what would have been her 30th wedding anniversary. Their getaway becomes a chance to reconnect, work through grief, and consider what the next chapter of life may hold.

Ali Kinney wrote the screenplay, with additional writing by Tracy Oliver. The feature is produced by MACRO Film Studios and Higher Ground.

Casting is looking for people who fit a creative Hamptons atmosphere — think artsy, bohemian, stylish, distinctive, and unique looks.

Men should include height, weight, coat size, waist/inseam, neck/sleeve, and shoe size. Women should include height, weight, dress/pant size, bust/waist/hips, and shoe size.

Those cast must also be able to provide the required physical I-9 employment eligibility documentation on set.
