Online Auditions Open for The Prince of Egypt in Concert at Lincoln Center

A new concert production of The Prince of Egypt is heading to Lincoln Center in New York City, and performers now have the chance to submit online auditions for consideration.

The upcoming production will be presented by Manhattan Concert Productions at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center. Based on the beloved 1998 DreamWorks animated film, The Prince of Egypt tells the powerful story of Moses, his journey of identity, and his complicated relationship with Ramses.

This concert presentation is scheduled to perform on February 15, 2027, with rehearsals taking place from February 8–15, 2027. While the production will be performed in New York City, performers can currently submit audition materials online through recorded video auditions.

The deadline to apply is September 4, 2026.

About The Prince of Egypt

The Prince of Egypt musical features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, the award-winning composer behind Wicked, Godspell, and Pippin. The book is by Philip LaZebnik, who also worked on the original animated film.

The story follows Moses, who is raised as part of the Egyptian royal family before discovering his Hebrew heritage. As he struggles with truth, family, faith, and leadership, he must face Ramses, the brother he loves and the ruler he must challenge.

The musical adaptation expands the emotional heart of the original film with additional songs, dramatic staging, and a deeper look at the bond between Moses and Ramses.
