The Gilded Age Season 4 Is Now Casting in Upstate New York and Newport

HBO’s acclaimed period drama The Gilded Age is officially in production for Season 4, and local residents in parts of New York and Rhode Island have a chance to earn extra cash by working on set as paid background actors.

One of the biggest appeals of appearing in a show like The Gilded Age is, of course, the stunning period wardrobe. Imagine stepping into the glamorous world of 1882, surrounded by elegant ballrooms, lavish estates, and high-society fashion — and getting paid for it.

Production is currently underway in New York City, with filming also set to take place in Troy, New York, on June 9–10. Additional filming is expected in Newport, Rhode Island, next month.

It is important to note that travel and accommodation are not provided, so only those who are local to the filming areas and able to get to set on their own should apply. The good news is that no previous acting experience is required, although selected applicants may need to fit specific costume measurements for period clothing.
