Young performers in West Tennessee, get ready to shine! ✨
Lights Up! Theatre Co. in Jackson is opening auditions this June for its upcoming fall production of Chicago: Teen Edition—a dynamic, jazz-infused version of the iconic musical, tailored for youth performers.

Students from rising 6th to 12th grade are invited to audition and attend an exciting audition workshop designed to help them step confidently into the spotlight.

✨ Audition Requirements:

Prepare: 60 seconds of a song from Chicago
Dress: Wear clothes suitable for movement (dance attire or comfortable clothing recommended)
Dance: Be ready to learn and perform a short dance combination
Act: Expect to do cold readings from the script

Bonus: Choreography videos will be shared two weeks prior to help students practice at home—participation in this prep is optional but highly encouraged.

Chicago: Teen Edition Audition Workshop

In addition to auditions, Lights Up! Theatre Co. is hosting a special Audition Workshop to help students hone their audition skills in a supportive and fun environment.

All rising 6th–12th grade students—whether planning to audition or just wanting to learn!
