HBO’s Emmy-winning medical drama The Pitt is heading back to Pittsburgh, and local residents have an opportunity to work on the upcoming third season as paid background actors.
Movie Casting PGH and the Pittsburgh Film Office are seeking non-union extras for the Pittsburgh unit of The Pitt Season 3. Filming is scheduled to take place in the Greater Pittsburgh region and surrounding areas this fall.
Created by R. Scott Gemmill and produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, The Pitt follows doctors, nurses, and hospital staff working inside the emergency department of a fictional Pittsburgh trauma hospital.
The series stars Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, alongside Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Sepideh Moafi.
Each episode follows approximately one hour of an intense 15-hour hospital shift, giving viewers a close look at the challenges faced by emergency medical professionals.
While much of the production films at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California, the series also returns to Pittsburgh for location filming.
