An upcoming indie short film titled “Silent Scars” is now casting actors in the Atlanta area for multiple paid speaking roles, day player roles, and background extras.
This is a local hire only production filming in Kennesaw, Georgia, with tentative filming scheduled for mid-July. Travel and lodging will not be provided.
About the Film
“Silent Scars” is a psychological drama exploring themes of love, trauma, emotional abuse, domestic abuse, and self-worth.
The story follows Kendall, a bright but deeply insecure college student who enters her first serious relationship with Trey, a charming young man who gives her the attention and affection she has always wanted.
At first, Trey appears warm and loving, but as his unresolved childhood trauma begins to surface, his behavior slowly shifts into manipulation, control, and frightening moments of violence. Kendall is left struggling between the love she believed in and the fear that keeps her feeling small and unseen.
The film aims to handle these difficult themes with care, purpose, and emotional honesty.

Roles Available
Trey — Lead Role
Male, White or Multiracial, ages 18–25
Trey is charming, attentive, and charismatic on the surface, but beneath that charm, he is controlling and emotionally volatile. He uses affection, guilt, and manipulation to maintain power in his relationship with Kendall.
This character is shaped by childhood trauma after witnessing abuse growing up, and he struggles with unresolved anger and fear of abandonment.
The actor must be able to balance charm and menace while bringing emotional depth to the role. Trey should not be portrayed as a one-dimensional villain.
Mike — Supporting Role
Male, White, ages 18–25
Mike is energetic, goofy, and lighthearted. He brings moments of comic relief to the story, but underneath his humor, he is kind-hearted and observant.
He genuinely cares about Kendall and quietly has a crush on her.
Mandy — Supporting Role
Female, White, ages 18–25
Mandy is sharp-tongued, judgmental, and socially dominant. She hides her own insecurity behind mean-spirited humor and often targets others to make herself feel superior.
She is the outgoing “queen bee” of the friend group and thrives on attention.
Stella — Supporting Role
Female, White, ages 18–25
Stella is Mandy’s partner-in-crime. She is judgmental, immature, and often encourages negative behavior within the group.
Although she appears confident, Stella is insecure underneath and constantly measures her worth by popularity, attention, and social approval.

Male, White, ages 30–40. An intense and abusive presence appearing in flashback scenes.
