Norwegian AURA Casting Dancers and Singers in Los Angeles

Norwegian Cruise Line is heading to the Los Angeles area for auditions seeking production dancers, singers, and specialty vocalists for original mainstage entertainment aboard the new Norwegian AURA.

Auditions will take place in Burbank, California, on September 19 and 20, 2026, with opportunities for performers to join a six- to seven-month contract beginning in early 2027.

One of the new productions is expected to feature a concert-style format inspired by the musical legacy of a well-known artist, following previous Norwegian shows centered around artists such as Prince and Elton John.

Los Angeles Audition Details

Production Dancers

The dancer open call will be held on September 19. Sign-in begins at 9:30 AM, with auditions starting at 10:00 AM. No advance registration is required, and dancers will be seen in arrival order. Callbacks are scheduled for later that day.

Norwegian is seeking athletic and versatile dancers with strong technical training in styles including:

💃 Commercial jazz
Contemporary
Hip-hop
Partnering and lifting

Female-identifying dancers should be prepared to perform in both heels and flats, while male-identifying dancers should bring sneakers and jazz shoes. Tumbling and acrobatic abilities are considered a plus, and selected performers may receive aerial training during rehearsals.

Dancers should bring a printed headshot and résumé and wear form-fitting dance attire.

Singers and Specialty Vocalists

Auditions for singers and specialty vocalists will be held September 20 by appointment only.

Specialty Vocalists should be experienced BIPOC performers with strong stage presence and the vocal ability to perform pop, gospel, and R&B material. Casting is particularly interested in high belters and tenors with strong head voice and falsetto extensions.

Production Singers should have wide vocal ranges and confidence performing contemporary pop, rock, and R&B. Strong harmony skills are essential, while movement or dance ability is also highly valued.

All vocalists should be charismatic entertainers who are comfortable engaging an audience.

Contract Schedule

Rehearsals and contract dates are currently planned as follows:

Specialty vocalist rehearsals begin around January 11, 2027
Singer rehearsals begin around February 8, 2027
Ship boarding is expected around February 22, 2027
Contract length: approximately six to seven months

The ship’s planned itinerary includes destinations in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. All dates are subject to change.

Pay and Benefits

💰 Specialty Vocalists: $1,730 per week onboard
💰 Production Singers: $1,200 per week onboard
💰 Production Dancers: $1,000 per week onboard

Travel will be provided to Tampa for rehearsals, to the ship, and home after the contract ends. Cast members will also receive single-occupancy cabins onboard.

In addition to the mainstage productions, performers may participate in or cover other onboard entertainment, including welcome shows, parties, nightclub events, and other guest experiences.
