Paid Background Roles Available for Feature Film “Thirsty Girl”

The upcoming feature film Thirsty Girl is now filming in and around the Nashville, Tennessee area, and production is currently seeking paid background actors for an upcoming shoot in Clarksville.

The film is written and directed by Alexandra Qin and is based on her 2023 Sundance-selected short film of the same name. The story follows a woman who drives her sister to rehab while quietly battling an addiction of her own.

With the feature adaptation now in production, local performers and new faces have the opportunity to work on set as paid background talent.

Jenny Alison Casting is handling background casting for the project. Applicants must be able to work as local hires in the Nashville or Clarksville area.

Please note that if you have already worked on Thirsty Girl, you cannot be booked for these roles.

Who Production Is Looking For

Production is seeking background actors to portray bowling alley patrons.

✅ Must be available regardless of call time

Applicants should be prepared for a possible long day on set. Although the guaranteed pay covers 8 hours, talent must be able to commit to being on set for 12 or more hours if needed.

The exact call time will not be available until the afternoon before filming, so applicants must have full availability for the work date.

Pay Information

💵 Rate: $100 for 8 hours
⏱️ Hourly Breakdown: $12.50 per hour
➕ Overtime: Time and a half after 8 hours

Talent will receive the 8-hour guarantee, but should be prepared for a longer filming day.

Important Work Eligibility Notice

I-9 verification will be completed on set in accordance with federal law. Talent must complete Section 1 of Form I-9 and provide acceptable original I-9 documents in order to work.

Applicants who hold employer-specific nonimmigrant work visas, such as O-1, P-1, or H-1B visas sponsored by another employer or agent, cannot be considered. Production is unable to sponsor work visas for this project.
