About Wicked

Wicked has been a Broadway favorite since opening in 2003. Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, the musical features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman.

Set in Oz before Dorothy’s famous arrival, the story explores the unexpected friendship between Elphaba and Glinda and reveals another side of the characters audiences know from The Wizard of Oz.

The musical features well-known songs including “Defying Gravity,” “Popular,” and “For Good.”

The Broadway production continues to perform at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City, while the show also travels across North America through its National Touring Company.

What Should You Prepare?
